Fried padron peppers
Posted in : Appetisers, Sides on by : Maya Tags: papadron, peppersPapadrons are small green peppers that we found during our Spanish holidays (I know I mention them a lot, but it was such a wonderful time!), it’s an equivalent of Russian roulette – one in a handful is very spicy, while the rest is very mild. And you really can’t tell until you put them in your mouth…
Preparing them was really easy, I think buying them would usually be more difficult (well, unless you live in Spain…).
Ingredients
- a few handfuls of papdron peppers
- olive oil
- sea salt
Instructions
- Heat up a large pan and add some olive oil.
- When really hot, add the peppers and fry from all sides for just a few minutes.
- Take them out and sprinkle the sea salt.
- Volià, serve as an appetizer or a side dish.
