Ginger shrimp on a skewer

Posted in : Amuse-bouche on by : Maya Tags: ,

I like easy recipes, this one is easy, but somehow time consuming, as every shrimp needs to be peeled, and wrapped and skewered… But it is totally worth it!

Ingredients

20 large shrimp, peeled and divined, ideally keep the tail

10 stripes of smoked bacon, cut into halves, cold

2 cloves of garlic, pressed

3 cm of fresh ginger, grated finely

2 tbs olive oil

20 bamboo skewers

Directions

Mix the garlic, ginger and olive oil and marinate the shrimp for 30 minutes minimum.

Wrap each shrimp with half a stripe of bacon and skewer it.

Dump all the shrimp and marinade on a hot pan and fry until the shrimp turns pink on all sides.

They are really, really good. I never had any leftovers of these, but I do remember some interesting discussions about who would get the last one!
